Baggage Service

According to AirAsia Baggage Policy, the free baggage allowances for carry-on and checked baggage must adhere to specifications as outlined by AirAsia.

Passengers are allowed to bring with them two items of carry-on baggage, the combined weight must not exceed 7kg. Carry-on baggage must fit the linear dimension [L+W+H] as specified by AirAsia and should be within:

  • 56cm X 36cm X 23cm OR 40cm X 30cm X 10cm
  • Carry-on baggage should fit in the overhead storage space or under the seat in front of the passenger.

If the passenger has any checked baggage, then they must pre-book checked baggage allowance. The range for checked baggage by AirAsia is as follows:

If a passenger has booked an AirAsia Premium Flex / Premium Flatbed or a Value Pack, then the ticket fare is inclusive of the checked baggage allowance.

Passengers with a booking of AirAsia India flights have a baggage allowance of up to 15kg included in their ticket fare.

Pet Travel Service

AirAsia does not allow any pets/animal companions on board its flights, the only exceptions are: i5 flights operated by AirAsia India and DJ flights operated by AirAsia Japan. Service/guide dogs, which have been medically certified are permitted on board AirAsia India i5 flights and AirAsia Japan DJ flights.

Cancellation Service

Passengers with bookings made directly through AirAsia can request a cancellation either by calling the AirAsia Contact Number or by visiting the AirAsia Davao Office in-person. Cancellation charges are subject to conditions stated for each ticket at the time of purchase and vary dependent upon the ticket/fare type.

AirAsia passengers can check-in for their flight through either of the following methods:

  • Airport Check-in: Passengers with an AirAsia booking must arrive at least 3 hours prior to the departure of their intended flight and proceed to the AirAsia Check-in counter located within the airport. [***Note: Passengers who require special assistance, or passengers travelling with infants or minors travelling solo MUST check-in at the airport in-person.]

AirAsia assures comfort and care for all its passengers.
