Turkish Airlines Doha Sales Office

My name is Faris Kenaan Zaki. My experience traveling with your airline this week has been appalling. My intent was to fly to London after it was announced that Qatar was moved into the amber list (in the UK). When booking the tickets at the Turkish Airlines office in Doha, I had to change an already pre-bought ticket to Estonia and pay an additional charge of 135QAR. Before paying the money, I asked the Turkish Airlines salesman if I need to follow any other guidelines other than booking the 2 PCR tests (on day 2 and day 8) upon arriving in the UK and completing the 10-day HOME quarantine in London. He assured me that nothing else was required and that the above was all that was needed.

72 hours before the flight to London (please note that there was also a layover in Istanbul) I took a PCR test at Al Ahli Hospital in Doha and also completed the required passenger locator form.
When checking my luggage in at the airport in Doha, the Turkish Airlines worker thoroughly checked all my documents as well as the passenger locator form and said I'm all good to go.
Upon arriving in Istanbul, I had to rush to the gate as there is only 1 hour between the flights. When I reached the gate, the gate control worker denied me access to the gate as apparently, I should have ordered the 10-day quarantine hotel package that is only required for red list countries. The worker then told me that I have only 10 minutes to sort everything out or else the plane flies without me. I was then sent to customer service to decide on what is to be done.
From my side I simply cannot spend 10 days locked up in the hotel so I requested a change of flight back to Tallinn. I was then asked to pay $500 to book the flight. As the next flight to Tallinn was the next day (10th of August), I had to pay a further 180 Euros for the airport Hotel.

I was also told that my return ticket that was booked previously from Tallinn to Doha was invalid and that I need to pay even more to rebook that flight.

Thanks to that salesman misleading me, I missed my daughter’s wedding in London and had to pay $500 + 180 Euros + two PCR cost 129 Pounds as well as another yet to be purchased ticket.

I urge you to sort out this problem and compensate me for the amount I mentioned + to keep my ticket back home as I have family to come back with from Tallinn to Doha.
