  • Cabin Baggage: Linear Dimensions(L+W+H) of baggage(s) must be ≤ 115 centimeters and weight ≤ 12 kg. 
  • Personal Item: Linear Dimensions(L+W+H) of baggage(s) must be ≤ 81 centimeters.
  • Checked Baggage: Linear Dimensions(L+W+H) of baggage(s) must be ≤ 207 centimeters

Pet Travel Service

Etihad Airways permits cats, dogs and falcons to fly in their aircrafts, subject to Etihad Airways Pet Policy and the laws at destination. All requests for pet travel must be submitted at least 7 days ahead of the intended flight and if approved all the necessary documentation work must be completed at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure of the intended flight.

Rules for Cats/Dogs:

  • Passengers must be ≥ 18 years of age to travel with a cat/dog.
  • Cat/dog must be ≥ 16 weeks old at the time of travel
  • The combined weight of cat/dog and kennel/carrier must be ≤ 8kg.
  • The linear dimensions(L+W+H) of the kennel/carrier must be …
    • … ≤ 102 centimeters [40x40x22 centimeters] to fit underneath the seat in front of the passenger.
    • … ≤ 143 centimeters [50x43x50 centimeters] if a passenger has purchased an adjacent seat.
  • $1500 USD charged for each way.

Rules for Falcons:

  • Passengers can travel with their falcon at no additional cost as part of the free cabin baggage allowance or as checked baggage for $500 USD per cage.
  • Economy Class passengers are allowed 1 falcon per passenger or 2 falcons for every additional seat; First & Business Class passengers are allowed 2 falcons per person or 3 falcons per additional seat.

Subject to govt. Imposed restrictions, passengers are not permitted to travel with pet/animal companion on the following routes: 

  • Flights to/from – India (Ahmedabad & Trivandrum), Maldives, South Africa, United Kingdom (London). 
  • Flights to – Australia, China, United Kingdom (Manchester), U.S.A.

Cancellation Service
